Busselton Foreshore

Busselton Foreshore is the town's paved waterfront, a flat on-lead walk past the historic jetty and the Norfolk pines of Geographe Bay.

Lead rules

The City of Busselton requires dogs on a lead along the foreshore's shared paths, paved areas and grassed zones between Marine Terrace, Geographe Bay Road and Gale Street.

Dogs are not allowed on some swimming beach stretches beside the main foreshore, so check the signs before stepping onto the sand. The council's dog beach areas lie further along the coast toward West Busselton.

The walk

The path is flat asphalt and concrete, shared with bikes and prams. You pass the wooden jetty reaching into the bay, grassy parkland, playgrounds and cafes.

Some sections have mature trees and shelters, but plenty of it is open to the sun.

Water and parking

Drinking fountains sit along the foreshore and bins are spread through the parklands. Bring a bowl, as the fountains are built for people.

There is plenty of parking near Signal Park and the jetty precinct.

Max: Bikes share this path. Keep the lead short around the jetty, where it gets busy.

Pair it with

Bovell Oval is a local on-lead option closer to Bovell, and Kwik Koffee Causeway does drive-through coffee for the trip home.

Go early, before the cafes fill and the pavement warms up. It suits social dogs who are relaxed around people, bikes and kids.
