Kwik Koffee Causeway. Coffee Drive Thru.

Kwik Koffee Causeway is the Yahava-run drive-thru and walk-up kiosk at 99 Causeway Road, Busselton, a coffee stop on the way in or out of town where the dog never has to leave the equation. Unlike a sit-down cafe, the whole format works with a dog: order from the car and keep your passenger with you, or walk up to the kiosk window and use the alfresco tables beside it.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome around the walk-up kiosk and the footpath space beside it, and the baristas here are known dog people: biscuits get passed out through the drive-thru window to waiting passengers, which regulars' dogs learn very quickly. Water bowls are often set out near the kiosk, though a travel bowl in the car covers you on the days they are not. There is no indoor seating at all, so every visit is car, window, or alfresco table, and dogs that are comfortable waiting in the vehicle have the easiest time of anyone.

Max: take the walk-up window rather than the drive-thru loop if your dog wants the biscuit, the Kwik Krew hand them over at counter height.

The vibe and the menu

The coffee is Yahava's Kwik blend, built from Colombian, Peruvian, Ethiopian and Papua New Guinean arabicas roasted at the KoffeeWorks in Margaret River. Alongside the espresso there are frappes, smoothies, iced coffee and chai, with toasties, wraps and sweet bakes for a quick bite. The Yahava app lets you order ahead and collect from either window. Hours run from the early hours on weekdays, with a 7am start on weekends and service through to mid-afternoon, so it works for the dawn beach run as well as the late-morning leg-stretch.

Getting there and parking

The kiosk sits on Causeway Road, the main route between Busselton and the coast, with the drive-thru loop entering off Causeway Road and parking bays beside the walk-up window. It is a short drive from the Busselton foreshore, which makes it a natural first or last stop on a foreshore day rather than a destination in itself.

Close by with the dogs

The Busselton foreshore has paved walking paths where dogs are on-lead, and off-lead exercise areas are mapped by the City of Busselton, with sandy stretches a short drive away towards West Busselton. Vasse Dog Park is a proper fenced run a few minutes up the road for the leg before or after coffee.
