Vasse Dog Park

Vasse Dog Park is a fully fenced off-lead facility on Talma Circuit, built into the wider Talma Circuit Multipurpose Community Park in the Vasse Estate south of Busselton. It is a neat, modern community park with the estate's usual polish, and the shade cover makes it usable even on a warm afternoon.

The dog setup

A double-gated entry opens onto the secure run, which carries agility obstacles for dogs that want the extra stimulation. Owners get shaded seating and dogs get water fountains, and the surrounding community park adds nature play, a pump track and basketball and netball courts, so families can split the visit between the dog run and the kids.

Worth knowing

Dogs stay on lead through the gates and owners need to stay inside with their dog and keep it under control throughout. Clean up on the spot; bags are usually provided but carry spares. Leave reactive dogs at home, keep females in season out, and it is best to leave food and treats in the car because they reliably start scuffles in a mixed group. The layout suits everything from a quick half-hour burn for a young dog to a slow social morning with the estate regulars.

Getting there

The park sits off Talma Circuit near its intersection with Stylaster Circuit, a short run off Bussell Highway and the Vasse Bypass, with free street parking nearby. Weekday mornings and evenings are quieter than the Saturday morning rush, which is the busiest window of the week. Busselton's dog-friendly beaches and the Geographe Bay foreshore are only a few minutes further if you want to add water time to the visit.
