Bohemian Brew

Bohemian Brew works out of a heritage stone cottage at 24 Oaks Drive in the Vasse Newtown estate, and it is the Geographe region's easiest dog stop: the verandah and tree-shaded garden yard are proper seating, not an afterthought bolted onto a car park. The Geographe Gazette and RAC both list it among the region's pet-friendly cafes, and staff put water bowls out for canine guests.

The dog setup

Dogs are warmly welcomed in the garden and verandah seating; inside the cottage is for humans. Water bowls typically appear without asking. The garden draws a steady stream of locals with their own dogs, so keep the leash on and short until you have read the yard. Weekend mornings are the busiest slot, and the cafe closes early on Sundays, so plan around the clock rather than turning up mid-afternoon.

The food

The kitchen runs all-day breakfast and brunch with a French-trained patisserie counter: waffles, an eggs Benedict panini, vegetable omelettes, bacon and egg toasties, house-made quiches, and delicate sweet tarts and eclairs from the cabinet. The coffee pours from an award-winning local roaster, and the dirty chai gets its own fan base. Getting there and parking

The cottage sits in a residential pocket of the Vasse estate just off the Busselton Bypass, with street parking on Oaks Drive and the surrounding streets, so the walk to the garden gate is short.

Close by with the dogs

The Vasse Dog Park on Talma Circuit is the area's fully fenced option, with separate large and small dog sections, double-gated entry and agility elements; the City of Busselton occasionally closes it for turf recovery in the wet months, so check council notices before relying on it. The fenced enclosure beside Vasse Village on Orchard Place is the handy unfussy alternative a minute away.
