Gresswell Habitat Link

The Gresswell Habitat Link in Bundoora is the dog-friendly part of the Gresswell reserves, an 18 hectare corridor between Gresswell Forest and the La Trobe Wildlife Sanctuary. Kangaroos graze its grassy plains.

Lead rules

Dogs are allowed in the Habitat Link on lead, and only on the formed tracks. Parks Victoria bans dogs in neighbouring Gresswell Forest and Gresswell Hill, so plan your route to stay in the Link.

Max: Where the Link meets Gresswell Forest or Gresswell Hill, turn around. Those are no-dog reserves, and the kangaroos here are not for chasing.

The walk

Earth, gravel and compacted tracks follow the seasonal wetlands of Strathallan Creek. It is a corridor rather than a set loop.

There are no bins or dog water on the tracks, so pack out waste and bring a bowl. Parking is near the Greenwood Drive entry.
