Price Park Fenced Dog Park

Price Park's fenced off-leash area on Lyon Road is Viewbank's main dedicated dog park, recently upgraded by Banyule Council with better seating and a circuit walking trail around the fence line, and it sits with views out toward the Dandenongs and Lower Plenty.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced area, but must be kept on-lead within 5 metres of the children's playground, the BBQ area, and the shared pathways elsewhere in the reserve. Council provides waste dispensers and general bins (red lid) take dog waste, though it is worth bringing your own bags as a backup.

What's there. The fenced exercise area has park benches, a drinking fountain with an attached dog bowl, and a circuit trail with fitness stations for owners. There is no separate small-dog yard, so keep an eye on size mismatches during busy periods.

Getting there. The park is at Lyon Road, Viewbank, with street parking on Lyon Road itself. It's easiest reached by car via Lower Plenty Road or Martins Lane. Heidelberg Station on the Hurstbridge line is the nearest train stop, but it's a fair way off, so plan on a bus or a longer walk if relying on transit.
