Boronia Bushland Reserve

Boronia Bushland Reserve protects one of the last big pieces of native bush in Boronia Heights, and one visit gets you both an on-lead bush loop and a fenced off-leash enclosure.

Leads and the enclosure

Logan City Council asks for dogs on lead along the walking tracks. The fenced enclosure on site is where they can run free.

The walk

Formed tracks loop through shady bush under scribbly gums, with native birds about and the odd eastern grey kangaroo. The loops are easy and flat.

Toilets, picnic tables, barbecues and a playground are on site, with water near the toilets and bins around the grounds.

Getting started

Park free on Conlan Street by the entrance. The gates close at set times that change with the season, so read the sign on the way in or risk being locked in overnight.

When to go

The tree cover keeps the tracks comfortable in warmer months. Taps along the outer tracks are limited, so carry water for the dog.
