Bethania to Logan Village Rail Trail

The Bethania to Beaudesert Rail Trail is a 43 kilometre corridor still being built in stages. The part you can walk from Bethania today is the Bethania to Logan Village Rail Trail, and dogs are welcome on a short lead.

Leads on the trail

Logan City Council manages the northern section and Scenic Rim Regional Council the southern end. On Logan's paths your dog must be on a lead no longer than two metres and under effective control.

What's on the path

Finished stages are sealed asphalt or compacted crushed rock, depending on the section. The corridor runs through native bushland, with old rail relics and handmade ironwork along the way.

Logan has fitted bubblers with dog bowls at intervals, plus sheltered seating. Trailheads such as Dairy Creek have parking and dog waste bins.

Pepsi: Look for the low bowls at the bubblers. A cold drink halfway makes the second half much happier.

For off-lead time, Federation Drive Reserve Fenced Dog Park in Bethania is fully fenced.

Before you set out

Check which stage is open before driving to a far trailhead, as work continues toward Logan Village and Beaudesert. The smooth surface suits older dogs and prams alike.
