Bernie Mullane Reserve

Bernie Mullane Reserve on Marella Avenue is a busy Kellyville sports complex, and it gives dog owners two things at once. Paved paths circle the whole facility for a lead walk, and an on-site fenced dog park lets them run.

Leads and the off-lead area

The Hills Shire Council requires dogs to be on lead across the general paved and grassed areas of the reserve. They can go off lead only inside the fenced dog park.

Keep dogs at least 10 metres from the playground and from picnic and food areas.

The walk

The paved circuits pass sports fields, tennis and netball courts, and Livvi's Place, the inclusive playground. The dog park itself has high fencing and a sheltered seating area.

There is on-site parking, lighting, bins, picnic and barbecue shelters, and public toilets open during daylight hours.

Max: A lap on the lead first takes the edge off before the gate. The fence stops a keen dog from heading for the fields.
