Beldon Park

Beldon Park is the suburb's central green space, off Gunter Grove beside the local shopping centre and Beldon Primary School. It is an easy on-lead neighbourhood loop rather than a big day out.

Lead rules

The City of Joondalup requires dogs on lead here unless signs mark a section for off-lead exercise. The park is not a designated dog exercise area, so expect to keep the lead on.

The walk

Concrete and asphalt paths circle open turf, shady trees, sports fields and a playground. They join straight onto the suburban footpaths, so it is simple to stretch the walk out from home.

The park is small enough to take in on a standard daily walk, which suits young and older dogs alike.

Water and shade

Mature trees and shade structures by the playground give some cover. Bins are around the edge, but dog water is limited, so bring a bottle and a bowl.

Street parking is easy along Gunter Grove.

Make a day of it

Finish with a coffee at Distrykt Coffee or Cugini Coffee & Co., both in Beldon.

Mornings and late afternoons are the local routine. It suits dogs who like a familiar, low-key loop close to home.
