Wooyung Beach Holiday Park

Wooyung Beach Holiday Park is a bush-style campground at 515 Wooyung Road, five minutes south of Pottsville, where dogs are not just tolerated but central to the appeal. Powered and unpowered sites sit under shady trees a short walk from Wooyung Beach, with fire pits for campfires and clean amenities block. Dogs at the park

Dogs stay free at campsites in the camping and caravan areas, but they must be declared and signed in on arrival. Cabins are strictly off limits to dogs, so book a site, not a cabin. The beach track takes you onto Wooyung Beach in a couple of minutes, and the beach itself is an on-leash dog walking area.

The park runs on bore water, so bring your own drinking water for both of you. Campfires are allowed in designated fire pits, with firewood sold on site. Sites range from powered to unpowered bush camps, and the amenity blocks are regularly singled out as clean in reviews.

Getting there and parking

The park is on Wooyung Road between the Pacific Motorway and the coast, signposted from the Pottsville turn-off. It is roughly 20 minutes from Tweed Heads and 40 minutes south of the Gold Coast. Drive-in sites make it straightforward to camp with the dog's gear close to the car.

Close by with the dogs

Pottsville Dog Beach is the closest dedicated dog beach, five minutes north by car. For supplies and coffee, Pottsville township has shops, cafes and a tavern within a short drive. If camping is not the plan, Pottsville Beach Motel is the other dog-friendly stay in the area.
