Dogs must stay on lead the whole way because the track passes working farms with sheep.
If your dog needs an off-lead run, the fenced Cambridge Dog Park about 15 minutes south at the Cambridge Oval precinct offers 1.5 hectares with separate activity zones and double-gate entries.
