Dogs are welcome on powered ensuite sites, unpowered sites and a selection of designated pet-friendly cabins, but not in the villas. The park sits by a freshwater creek with a walking and cycling track beside it, which is the easy morning stroll before the heat arrives.

Close by with the dogs

One map trap to know: the Crystal Cascades swimming hole itself, upstream from the park, is a dog-prohibited area under Cairns Regional Council rules. For creek swimming instead, Goomboora Park in Brinsmead sits on the same freshwater creek with a designated off-leash area, and Gamburra Drive Park is the fenced option right in Redlynch.
