The Studio

The Studio is a self-contained stay at Prevelly, the beachside settlement a ten minute drive west of the Margaret River township, and it is set up for dogs to holiday properly rather than being shut out on a veranda. Dogs are welcome inside with you, there is a fenced courtyard for them to use unsupervised, and the surf and the boat ramp are within a short walk.

The back courtyard is fully fenced, so you can leave the door open on a fine day without having to eyeball the gate. An outdoor shower is there for rinsing salt and sand off before either of you goes back inside, and poo bags are supplied. The location

Prevelly is the closest settlement to the river mouth and Surfers Point, and the beach stretch nearby is where locals walk their dogs morning and evening. Leash rules along the coastline vary by shire signage, so carry a lead and check the signs at the access track nearest your walk. The town end of Margaret River, with its supermarkets and cafes, is an easy drive back up Mitchell Drive for supplies.

For a proper off-lead run rather than a beach walk, Brookfield Dog Park in the township is fenced, and Georgette Drive Dog Park is the other council option on the Prevelly side of town.
