Ashley's Villa Margarita is a villa stay in Prevelly on the Margaret River coast, a short walk from the sand at Gnarabup. Dogs are welcome by approval rather than as a blanket policy: the house rules allow a maximum of one dog, and it has to be requested and approved before you book.

Pets must be kept off all beds, furniture and cushions, the hosts strongly recommend the dog is never left alone at the villa, and guests are asked to vacuum sand and fur with the vacuum provided in the entrance hall before checkout. A pet fee applies, around $50 in some booking instances, so confirm the amount with the approval. The upside is a fully enclosed courtyard, which gives the dog a secure outdoor space without a lead.

Getting there and parking

Prevelly sits at the mouth of the Margaret River, about 10 minutes' drive west of the townsite and roughly 3 hours south of Perth. The villa has its own parking, and the beach, village store and cafes are walkable.

The coastal beaches directly in front of the villa work as dog exercise areas, and the host's own house rules point guests to the pet-friendly local cafes with dogs on a lead.
