Georgette Drive Dog Park

Georgette Drive Dog Park is an unfenced off-leash dog exercise area in Georgette Drive Reserve, in a residential pocket north-east of central Margaret River. It is a Shire-designated off-leash spot with open grass and tree cover, suited to dogs with reliable recall rather than escape artists.

The rules. Dogs may be off-leash but must be under effective voice control at all times, since the reserve is unfenced and open to the surrounding streets and bushland. You must pick up after your dog, with bins provided and penalties for not doing so. Dogs must be friendly and non-aggressive, and must stay out of nearby school ovals and active sporting fields.

What's there. There are dog-waste bins and mature trees giving natural shade alongside open sunny areas. There is no dog water fountain, so bring your own water and bowl. Street parking is available along Georgette Drive.

Getting there. It is on Georgette Drive, about a 5 to 7 minute drive from the town centre, also reachable on foot via walkways from the surrounding Brookfield area. There is little public transport, so a car is easiest.

Nearby with the dogs. Casa Amigos on Georgette Drive is a pet-friendly holiday home right nearby, and the town's dog-friendly cafes on Bussell Highway are a short drive away.

Weekday mid-mornings and early afternoons are quietest. It gets busiest early morning and late afternoon as locals walk dogs around work, so pick a low-peak time if your dog is wary of groups.
