Aldo's Cafe, Margaret River

Aldo's Cafe is a relaxed cafe in central Margaret River, a short step from the main shopping strip at Unit 1/8 Charles West Avenue, and it welcomes dogs at its footpath tables out the front. It is an easy coffee-and-cake stop while you wander the town with the dog, open 7am to 1pm every day of the week.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating at the front, where tables sit on the footpath so the dog can sit beside you and watch the street. Indoors is for diners, so plan to sit out front. Staff are generally happy to bring out a water bowl on request, but a portable bowl is handy on warm days.

The vibe

Aldo's is known for good coffee, fresh sandwiches, homemade cakes and quick light lunches, in a casual setting that suits a short, relaxed stop rather than a long sit-down. The acai bowls and chilli scrambled eggs get particular attention from regulars.

Getting there

Free street parking runs along the main street, with side car parks behind the shops and easy pedestrian access. Mornings are pleasant for a footpath table before the strip gets busy, and on hot afternoons the front tables can catch full sun, so check for shade.

Close by with the dogs

The Brookfield Dog Park gives the dog an off-lead stretch, the Wadandi Track at Cowaramup makes a longer leashed walk, and Riversmith is another dog-friendly option along Bussell Highway.
