Abode Woden is a self-contained apartment-style hotel at 10 Bowes Street in Phillip, at the heart of Canberra's Woden town centre. It appears in some pet-friendly directories, but the current position from Abode Hotels matters more: the group's own information lists Woden as not taking pets, with assistance animals the exception, and directs travellers with dogs to its sister property nearby.

Worth knowing before you book

Abode runs a Pet Package across participating hotels, covering designated pet-friendly rooms at roughly $50 per pet per night, a maximum of two pets per room, and rules that pets stay leashed or carried in common areas and are never left unattended. That package does not currently extend to Abode Woden, so if you book here expecting to bring the dog you are likely to be turned away at the desk. Policies do shift, so it is worth a direct call to the hotel before writing the stay off entirely.

The alternative next door

The good news for dog travellers is that Abode Phillip sits a few minutes away on Furzer Street and does take dogs under the same Pet Package, in the same suburb and precinct. Unless the location specifically demands Bowes Street, that is the practical booking for a dog-friendly Woden stay.
