What visitors mention
Greenway Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash park on Mortimer Lewis Drive, set on well-kept grass near Oxley Hill and the eastern side of Lake Tuggeranong. The draw is a secure double-gated enclosure split into separate large-dog and small-dog areas, so nervous or little dogs get their own space away from the boisterous crowd.
The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced zones but must stay under effective voice control, and anyone supervising a dog needs to be at least 16. Clean up every time: ACT rules carry a fine of around $150 for not picking up, plus a separate penalty for not carrying bags, so keep a supply on you. Any dog showing aggression must be removed straight away, and female dogs in heat are not permitted.
What's there. Secure double-gated entries at each zone, dedicated small and large dog areas, a water bubbler, dog waste bags and bins, and bench seating for owners. Entry and parking are wheelchair accessible.
Getting there. The park sits directly off Mortimer Lewis Drive, easily reached from the Tuggeranong Parkway or Athllon Drive, with on-site parking. The Tuggeranong Bus Interchange is the nearest transport hub, a short walk or quick drive away.
Nearby with the dogs. You are minutes from the Lake Tuggeranong foreshore path for a longer on-leash walk, and several lakeside cafes welcome dogs at outdoor tables. For an overnight stay, Abode Tuggeranong on Rowland Rees Crescent takes dogs just up the road.

When to go. Weekend mornings and afternoons are the busiest, so if your dog is unsure around big groups, aim for a weekday mid-morning to mid-afternoon when it is quieter. Good for social dogs who love a run, with the small-dog side a safer bet for the timid ones.
