Mimi's Pit Stop

Mimi's Pit Stop is a casual open-air coffee van on Mortimer Lewis Drive, parked on the eastern side of Lake Tuggeranong right beside the lakeside walking track. It is built for walkers, runners and cyclists, which makes it an easy dog stop rather than a sit-down cafe.

The dog setup. As a coffee van, all seating is outdoors on the paved area around the van, so dogs on lead are welcome by default with plenty of flat open space to settle. Water bowls are often out for thirsty dogs, but bring your own just in case.

Good to know. The pull is the location on the Lake Tuggeranong circuit, with well-rated coffee, hot and cold drinks and quick snacks. It trades mainly on weekends, so check hours before making the trip.

Getting there. Street parking runs along Mortimer Lewis Drive, though the natural way to arrive is on foot along the lakeside path.

Nearby with the dogs. The Lake Tuggeranong path continues straight past the van for a longer walk, and the fenced Greenway Dog Park is close by for an off-leash run before or after your coffee.

When to go. Weekend mornings suit an early walk-and-coffee before the path fills. Good for a mid-walk breather with a social dog.
