BrewBar Reed Street

BrewBar Reed Street is a well-liked Greenway coffee spot at 32 Reed Street North, a little off the main Tuggeranong shopping strip and close to the Lake Tuggeranong foreshore. It is widely recognised as one of the south side's dog-friendly cafes, and it works best as the coffee leg of a lake walk.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor alfresco area, with room on the footpath to settle beside your table. Inside is reserved for service dogs. Staff are generally welcoming, but bring your own water bowl to be safe, especially on warm Canberra mornings when the bowls are not always out.

Worth knowing

Reviewers rate it for good coffee, cold brew and hot chocolate, fresh food including gluten-free bread and muffins, and quick, friendly service that suits the before-work rush. Regulars treat it as the office-adjacent coffee stop, and the takeaway counter moves fast if you would rather keep walking with the dog. It opens early on weekdays, 6:30am to 2:30pm, but is closed on weekends, so this is strictly a weekday dog-walk stop rather than a brunch option. Weekday mornings are calm and suit a quiet coffee after a lakeside lap.

Getting there and parking

On-street parking is usually available on Reed Street directly outside or in nearby bays, and it is an easy walk off the Lake Tuggeranong loop for a foreshore circuit first. The Greenway Dog Park is close by if your dog needs an off-leash run before settling at the table. Mimi's Pit Stop on the lake edge and Bunny Beans Cafe are the other Greenway options if you are doing a weekend version of the same walk.
