East Beach Tourist Park

East Beach Tourist Park is a beachfront caravan park at 40 Gunn Parade, Low Head, at the mouth of the Tamar River in northern Tasmania. The park backs onto the sand dunes, close enough that most sites can hear the surf, and it runs pets across cabins, caravans and campsites.

Dogs at East Beach Tourist Park

Dogs are welcome across the park's sites, and designated pet-friendly cabins exist too, with specific two-person and three-person cabin configurations booked as pet-friendly on the park's booking pages. The park rules are straightforward: dogs stay on a lead at all times, remain well behaved and under control, and owners clean up immediately. Confirm at booking which cabin types take dogs rather than assuming every cabin does, and ask about any pet fee, since size and breed limits are not published in detail.

The park and the beach

Guests rate the friendly managers, the camp kitchen and the short walk over the dunes to the beach. Being right on East Beach means early morning and evening dog walks on the sand are steps from your site, on-lead.

While you're out there

Low Head's historic precinct, the pilot station and the lighthouse are a short drive, and the penguin rookery runs twilight tours nearby.
