Getting there and parking. The campground is located at 228 Golconda Road (B81), just north of Lilydale town centre. Ample free parking is available and the site accommodates both tents and RVs. The town itself is a short drive away if you need to top up on supplies.
Nearby with the dogs. If you want a cooked meal without packing up camp, the Lilydale Tavern and the Lock Shop Cafe are both in town. For a longer stay in the area, Cherry Top Farmstay offers another dog-friendly option nearby.
When to go. Cooler months are ideal for camping with dogs, though the surrounding gum trees offer some welcome shade if you visit over summer. A 24-hour stay limit may apply, so treat this as a stopover rather than a base for an extended trip and confirm current time limits on arrival.
