Lock Shop Cafe is a quirky small cafe in the old servo precinct on Lilydale's Main Road, doubling as a lock shop museum and serving good coffee with pies from the Scottsdale Bakery, with dogs welcome in the outdoor seating.

Dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables out front. It is a small, intimate space, so bring your own water bowl to be safe rather than assume one is on hand. As a food venue, keep dogs to the outdoor area rather than inside.

Good to know. Known for quality coffee, pies from the well-regarded Scottsdale Bakery, and the novelty of a working lock shop museum attached to the cafe. Opening hours are limited, roughly 7am-2pm Monday, Thursday and Friday, and 9am-2pm on weekends, so check before a special trip.

Getting there and parking. It's at 4/1973 Main Road, Lilydale, within the small township centre. On-street parking is available directly out front.

Nearby with the dogs. Lilydale Tavern is close by on the same road for a meal afterwards. Lilydale Falls Reserve is a short drive out for an on-lead walk to burn off the pie.

Go earlier in the opening window on weekends, as it is a small local spot and can fill quickly. Good for a quick coffee stop with a calm dog on lead.
