Beaconsfield Fenced Dog Park is a small, fully fenced off-leash area on Grubb Street, part of the Beaconsfield Recreation Ground. It is the closest secure off-leash option in the area, a straightforward spot for a run and a sniff rather than a full outing.
The rules. The park sits within a West Tamar Council off-leash exercise area, and the usual conditions apply. Dogs must be under effective control at all times, meaning in sight, close by, and reliable on recall, even inside the fence. Pick up after your dog. Greyhounds, declared dangerous dogs, and restricted breeds must stay on-leash regardless of the fencing.
What's there. Secure perimeter fencing and open grassed ground for dogs to run. Waste bags and bins are usually stocked. Public toilets are available nearby at the Recreation Ground.
Getting there. The park is on Grubb Street near the York Street intersection, reached via the West Tamar Highway from Launceston. Parking is free and easy, on gravel and grass rather than a formal car park. Public transport to Beaconsfield is limited, so most visitors drive.

Nearby with the dogs. Beauty Point, a short drive away, has a couple of dog-friendly options worth pairing with a park visit: the Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel for a meal with a view, and Beauty Point Cottages if you are staying overnight.
Midweek afternoons are the quietest time to visit. It is inland, so tides are not a factor. Good for a quick, low-key off-leash break rather than a destination in its own right.
