You must declare you are travelling with a dog at the time of booking, park entry is at the manager's discretion, and you complete the Conditions of Acceptance for Dogs form as part of the process. A $40 cleaning fee applies to every dog-friendly cabin booking, and if a cabin or site is left in poor condition an additional cleaning fee from $160 applies. Dogs are not permitted during school holidays and peak periods at all, so check the calendar before you commit. On the grounds, dogs stay under control and on lead, with the river edge the main thing to manage.

Worth knowing

The draw here is water: river access on the doorstep, kayaking on the Kangaroo River, and swimming in the river on warm days. The village is walking distance, which is unusual for a valley park, so evenings can be dinner out rather than a drive. If your dates fall in a school holiday blackout, the surrounding valley has alternatives that take dogs year round.

Getting there and out with the dogs

The park sits on Moss Vale Road at the edge of the village, about 30 minutes from Berry and under three hours from Sydney, with parking at your cabin or site.
