Kangaroo Valley Glenmack Park

Kangaroo Valley Glenmack Park is a family caravan and camping park set on spacious grounds a short drive from the historic village, with a kids playground, jumping pillow, mini golf, camp kitchen, fire pits and animal feeding on the activity list. Dogs are allowed on all powered sites and unpowered camping, and the park also has designated pet-friendly cabins, which attract an additional cleaning fee of $35 per stay. Standard cabins stay pet-free. Within the park dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, cannot be left unattended on your site, must be cleaned up after immediately, and are not allowed in the communal areas such as the camp kitchen, BBQ areas, amenities or pool. Confirm any current conditions when you book, as rules can tighten over school holidays and peak periods.

This is a family-park environment rather than a quiet retreat: kids on the jumping pillow, campfires at the sites and the valley's escarpment views all around. It suits campers and caravanners with a well-mannered, lead-comfortable dog who are happy with a lively park in exchange for the location.

Getting there and parking

The park sits in Kangaroo Valley village's orbit, reached via Moss Vale Road from the north or through the Hampden Bridge from the southeast. Parking is at your site or cabin door, and the village with its cafes, pub and general store is only a few minutes away.

Close by with the dogs

Keep walks to the non-national-park side of the valley: the Hampden Bridge bush loop is a gentle 2.4-kilometre riverside circuit that drops down to the Kangaroo River bank for a splash, and dogs on lead are welcome. Note that Morton National Park and the Bendeela Recreation Area are strictly no-dog zones.
