Heifer Creek Rest Area, also known as Thiess Memorial Park, is a free overnight camp beside a creek in Fordsdale, roughly halfway between Gatton and Clifton on the Gatton-Clifton Road. It is a bush camping stop for caravans, motorhomes and tents, not a cabin-style stay. The drawcard is a peaceful, shaded gorge setting with a 20-hour maximum stay, suited to travellers breaking up a longer drive with their dog.
