The pet policy. Dogs are welcome in your own caravan or tent and in the park's self-contained pet-friendly cabin. Location and nearby. The park is at 848 Diamond Head Drive, an easy drive from Laurieton across the river, where you'll find dog-friendly cafes and Henry Kendall Canine Park for a proper off-leash stretch. Dunbogan Beach and Grant's Beach both have sections that allow dogs, some leashed and some not, so check current signage before you head down.

Before you book. Fee details for the cabin and sites aren't published in full, so confirm pet costs and the two-pet limit directly with the park when you reserve. Bring your own bowl and bedding.

Go for the river frontage and the bush setting rather than a big strip of sand right outside the gate, this is a base for exploring Dunbogan and Laurieton with the dog rather than a beach-side park in itself.
