Bold Espresso Bar

Bold Espresso Bar is a compact gourmet coffee stop at 87 Bold Street in Laurieton, the main strip of the Camden Haven on the NSW Mid North Coast. It trades early, 6am on weekdays and 7am Saturdays until 1pm, and closes Sundays, which suits the fishing-boat-and-dog-walk crowd who come through before the town wakes up. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables while you work through breakfast or take away.

Quality coffee and fresh, in-house food are the draw, with muffins in the cabinet and an easy-going, unpretentious air. It is a quick-stop cafe rather than a linger-all-morning one: order, take a footpath table, and be on with your day. Mornings are busiest between seven and nine; by late morning it thins out. Check hours before a weekend trip, since Sunday is dark.

The cafe sits on Bold Street, Laurieton's main strip, with free street parking usually available out front. Laurieton is about half an hour south of Port Macquarie off Ocean Drive, and the cafe is an easy walk from the river foreshore side of town.

Max: Early is the move here. Coffee at six, a foreshore walk by seven, and the dog has had a full morning before most of the town opens.
