Dogs at Clique 3

Dogs are taken by arrangement, usually up to two, with no published weight limit, and A Perfect Stay requires pets to be declared at the time of booking rather than added later. The house rules described for the townhouse are typical of a premium rental in a close townhouse setting: dogs over 12 months old, well trained and house-trained, not prone to barking, allowed in living areas but kept off furniture and out of bedrooms, and never left alone on the property. Expect a pet fee or extra cleaning charge on top of the tariff, which the operator sets per booking.

One caution worth flagging: A Perfect Stay's policies differ between individual properties, and its formally listed pet-friendly collection centres on the sister townhouse Clique 2. So before you plan the trip, get written confirmation from the operator that your dog is approved for Clique 3 specifically for your dates.

The vibe

This is the Byron townhouse formula done properly: clean contemporary lines, a private pool in the complex, and everything from the lighthouse to the cafes reachable without moving the car. It suits a group of friends or a family travelling with a dog who is happy to walk everywhere on a lead. Getting there and parking

Kingsley Street runs off the town side of Lawson Street, a few minutes' walk from the bus interchange and Main Beach. The townhouse comes with dedicated off-street parking, which is genuinely valuable in Byron where street parking near the beach is scarce and metered.

While you're out there

The Belongil Beach South dog exercise area is the closest off-leash sand, a 24-hour zone running from Manfred Street towards the Main Beach car park, with dogs kept to the inter-tidal zone.
