Bundara Farm

Bundara Farm is a 15-acre private estate on the outskirts of Berry on the NSW South Coast, with three self-contained guesthouses set among gardens and paddocks. It is also a wedding and events venue, but outside function dates it works as a quiet country base, and it is one of the few local stays that openly welcomes dogs, including large ones.

Dogs at the farm

The property promotes itself as pet friendly, and listings note it can take large dogs, which puts it in rare company around Berry. Fees and conditions may apply and pet-friendly status can be on request, so enquire directly to confirm the fee, how many dogs are allowed and any house rules before you book. Ask about fencing and the yard if your dog is not reliable off-lead, since it is a working farm property with horses on site as well as gardens.

The place

Three guesthouses cover different group sizes: the Homestead sleeps up to 18, Bellevue Cottage suits couples and small families at four to five, and Waverley Cottage covers the middle ground, with the option of exclusive use of the whole property for up to 28 guests. All are self-contained with equipped kitchens, so you can cook in and keep your dog settled rather than eating out every meal. Book early for weekends, and check whether your dates clash with a wedding on the property.

Getting there and parking

The estate sits on the outskirts of Berry, about two hours' drive from Sydney and fifteen minutes from Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa. Parking is on site at each cottage, with level access from the car to the door.

Close by with the dogs

In town, IV Coffee is a reliable coffee stop on Albert Street. For a working farmstay alternative with horses, The Haven at Berry is another rural option, and the Berry Showground Camping Area takes dogs if you are travelling with a van.
