IV Coffee

IV Coffee is a hole-in-the-wall specialty cafe at 117 Queen Street in the centre of Berry, pouring daily from 6am to 2pm. Dogs are welcome at the open-air seating that spills straight onto the footpath, and the whole format, order, grab, go or perch, suits a dog that is happy to settle for a short coffee rather than a long brunch.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor tables on the footpath, on lead. It is a high-traffic spot with people passing close by, so it favours a dog that stays relaxed in a crowd. Staff are dog-friendly and water bowls are often out, but a travel bowl is the safe backup. Apex Park is a short walk away for a leg-stretch before or after.

Worth knowing

The draw is fast, high-quality coffee, batch brew and cold brew among the options, with a tight list of cookies and baked goods, including the house cheese and chive scone and baked cheesecake, rather than a full breakfast menu, so pair it with a bigger sit-down elsewhere in town if brunch is the mission. Being central on Queen Street it is walkable from anywhere in town; street parking along Queen Street and the side streets fills on weekends, and market days fill it faster.
