The Waterloo Bay Hotel is a historic suburban pub at 75 Berrima Street, Wynnum, with one of the larger beer gardens in the area. Dogs are welcome in a designated grassed section of that garden, so it is a genuine sit-down option rather than a footpath-only stop.

The dog setup. Dogs go in the Oyster Point grassed area within the beer garden. Get in via the side gate on Berrima Street so you skip the indoor bar. The space is shaded and open. The pub puts out water bowls, though carrying your own is wise on a busy day. Dogs must be leashed and under control.

Take the Berrima Street side gate straight to the grassed area; it keeps a leash-reactive dog clear of the indoor bar and the main entry crowd.

Good to know. Food comes from the on-site Fig Bar & Restaurant with bistro classics, and there is regular live music. It is a big, busy local, so the garden can fill on event days.

Getting there. Street parking is on Berrima Street and nearby. Wynnum Central station is about 450 metres away.

When to go. A quieter afternoon suits dogs better than a live-music night. Good for sociable dogs comfortable in a busy, open garden.
