Burger Hounds is a small gourmet burger shop at 1 Redleaf Avenue, in the Redleaf Avenue village next to the train line. It is a casual, mostly takeaway spot with a few outdoor tables, and dogs are welcome at the footpath seating out front.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the pavement tables in front of the venue, not inside, since the shop itself is small. Staff are accommodating and often bring water for dogs, but carry your own bowl to be safe.

Good to know. Known for wagyu burgers, German kransky hot dogs and crispy fries and onion rings. Hours are roughly Wednesday to Friday 11am to 8pm and weekends across a lunch and dinner service, closed Monday and Tuesday, so check before a midweek trip.

Getting there. Street parking runs along Redleaf Avenue and nearby streets, and the Coles car park (entry via Illoura Avenue) is usually convenient. It is a very short walk from Wahroonga Station.

Nearby with the dogs. Wahroonga Park and the leafy streets around Redleaf Avenue are good for a leashed walk, and several pet-friendly cafes sit along Railway Avenue and Coonanbarra Road nearby.
