Wahroonga Dog Park

Wahroonga Dog Park sits at the corner of Kintore Street and Westbrook Avenue, a fully fenced, grassy off-leash park run by Ku-ring-gai Council. The rules. Dogs must be under the effective control of a competent person, with a limit of four dogs per handler. Lead up on the way in and out of the fenced area, and keep 10 metres clear of playgrounds and any food or picnic areas. Council requires dogs to be registered and to wear a collar with ID. Clean up after your dog; bins are provided.

What's there. The park is fully fenced with secure gates, with bench seating and mature trees for shade. Waste bags are usually stocked. Human toilets are available on site, and there is a basketball court within the wider reserve.

Getting there. There is free off-street parking off Kintore Street plus accessible street parking nearby. It is a short drive from Wahroonga Station, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible.

Nearby with the dogs. Wahroonga Village and the cafes around Railway Avenue and Coonanbarra Road are a few minutes away, with several outdoor, dog-friendly tables for a coffee afterwards.

Weekday mornings and evenings are the quietest. Late afternoons through early evening on weekdays and Saturday afternoons are busiest; weekend mornings are the social peak if your dog enjoys company.
