The dog setup

Dogs are welcome across the outdoor garden and seating areas, and there is plenty of room to move, which suits dogs who need a bit of space from other tables. Keep your dog leashed and by your side. The pond next door is usually populated by free-roaming ducks and geese, so hold a firm grip on the lead as you move between the car park and your table: the waterfowl are a magnet for curious noses and everyone, wildlife included, stays calmer for it. Ask staff for a water bowl when you are seated.

The setting does most of the talking: casual, quiet and green, with live music in the venue's regular program. The menu covers breakfast through lunch, with Maggie's Big Breaky anchoring the morning list and Maggie's chicken burger and chips a lunch favourite, alongside small plates and vegetarian and vegan options. Coffee runs through the morning and the bar pours cocktails, beer and wine for slower afternoons. Hours run 6am to 2pm Wednesday to Friday and 7am to 2pm Saturday and Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday closed.

Getting there and parking

Petrie Creek Road links Rosemount to Nambour and the Maroochy River side of the Sunshine Coast, and there is on-site parking at the venue. It is a drive-to destination rather than a walk-from-town cafe, but the roads are quiet and easy with a dog in the car.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-lead run before breakfast, the Muller Park Reserve Fenced Dog Park at Bli Bli and the Petrie Park Dog Off Leash Area in Nambour are both within a short drive. The Local Parklakes is another dog-friendly dining option on the Bli Bli side.
