Eight on the Beach

Eight on the Beach is a casual beachside restaurant at 8-10 Rockingham Beach Rd with uninterrupted views across to the islands, and a fenced outdoor bar area that makes it a comfortable, secure spot to dine with a dog.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor, fenced cafe and bar area - a genuine plus for keeping a dog settled and contained while you eat. They are not allowed in the fully enclosed indoor dining. Staff often bring water; keep the dog on a leash on the busy boardwalk out front.

Known for. Ocean and island views, a broad Australian menu (seafood, pizzas, burgers, breakfasts) and afternoon cocktails and beer.

Getting there and parking. 8-10 Rockingham Beach Rd, on the main strip. Ample parking along the road, though it fills on weekends and warm evenings.

Nearby with the dogs. The paved foreshore path out front is good for an on-leash walk. Note the foreshore beside the cafe strip is generally leash-only or restricted - the nearest off-leash dog beach is down the coast at the Weld Street area, so check the City of Rockingham map.

Sunny mornings and sunsets are the picks; the fenced area is the seat to ask for with a dog.
