Cabana Cafe & Bistro

Cabana Cafe & Bistro sits at 21 Rockingham Beach Road, directly across from the Rockingham foreshore, and its shaded verandah with beach views is one of the friendlier dog tables in town. The kitchen runs a modern coastal Australian menu across breakfast, lunch and dinner, with gluten-free options handled properly: chilli scrambled eggs and the potato stack anchor breakfast, while barramundi, seafood fettuccine, garlic prawns, pork ribs and a mushroom risotto carry lunch and dinner. The service has an old-fashioned, unhurried feel and generous portions. Hours vary between listings, so confirm by phone on 0452 317 262 before a dinner run; Saturday evening service from 5:30pm is the one all listings agree on.

Getting there

Public parking runs along Rockingham Beach Road and the foreshore car park is flat and easy from the verandah, though it tightens on warm weekends.

The foreshore straight across the road is an on-lead coastal walk, and the City of Rockingham designates off-leash stretches further along the coast, so check signage at your access point. For a guaranteed run, Warnbro Dog Beach south of town offers calm, protected water off-lead, and Rockingham Fenced Dog Park in Bayview Reserve has separate small and all-dog enclosures behind a 1.8 metre fence.
