Grab A Bite on Bancroft is a family-run cafe in the Pinkenba industrial and airport precinct, doing all-day breakfast and lunch for tradies and travellers from a 4am start. For dog owners the point of interest is the designated outdoor seating area, which takes dogs on a lead while you eat.

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor dining space only; the indoor service and kitchen areas are off limits, as with most food venues. Hours are Monday to Friday from around 4am to 2:30pm, closed weekends entirely, so this is a weekday breakfast-and-lunch run only. Peak times track the industrial shift changes and the weekday lunch rush, and an off-peak visit leaves the outdoor seating calmer for a dog.

Do keep a grip on the lead between car and table: this is a working industrial area with trucks and forklift traffic on the roads.

Close by with the dogs

There is not much green space inside Pinkenba itself, so pair the meal with a drive. Nudgee Waterhole Reserve Fenced Dog Park is a short drive across the precinct for proper off-lead time, Old Shoreline Park in Hamilton is another fenced option closer to the river, and Yellowish covers the cafe side of Hamilton if you are still in the area later in the day.
