The Foreshore

The Foreshore is an oceanfront restaurant and cafe on Casuarina Drive, Nightcliff, built around sunset views and a relaxed outdoor patio. Dogs are welcome on that patio, which makes it one of the easier sunset spots in Darwin to bring the lead along.

Getting there. The restaurant is at 259 Casuarina Drive, Nightcliff, open daily from early morning until late. There is parking along Casuarina Drive near the foreshore, which is also where the Nightcliff coastal walking path runs, handy for a walk with the dog either side of a meal.

Nearby with the dogs. The Nightcliff foreshore path connects along the coast toward the jetty, a good stretch for a pre- or post-meal walk. Fresh Point Cafe on Progress Drive is a short drive away for a dog-friendly breakfast option if The Foreshore is booked out.

Best for a sunset booking on the patio, on lead, with an early call to confirm the current pet policy before you arrive on a big weekend night.
