Meelup Farmhouse

Meelup Farmhouse is a coastal hobby farm and restaurant on Sheens Road in Naturaliste, built around free-range Highland cows, alpacas and Silkie chickens, with a menu that leans on South West produce, pork belly and a 500g grass-fed rib eye. Known for. The hobby farm itself, with alpacas and Silkie chickens roaming the grounds, plus a resident dog named Mila who may wander over to say hello. On the menu, expect pork belly, duck curry, gnocchi and cocktails, often with live music on busier weekends. It is a heavily Instagrammed spot for its rustic, farm-style setting.

Getting there and parking. The address is 54 Sheens Road, Naturaliste, about an eight-minute drive from Dunsborough. The last stretch runs along an unsealed dirt road, so allow a little extra time. Free on-site parking is available and the grounds are wheelchair accessible.

Nearby with the dogs. Meelup Dairy shares the same property if you would rather a quick coffee and ice cream than a sit-down meal. Note that dogs are not permitted inside Meelup Regional Park, which covers Meelup Beach and the surrounding coast, so this isn't the spot for an on-lead beach walk afterwards, confirm access at a designated dog beach near Dunsborough instead.

Dog access here is seasonal, so check the current dates before planning a winter visit, when the lawn service typically scales back or closes. Weekday mornings are the calmer window if you want the lawn without a wait for a hamper.
