Dogs are welcome on the outdoor lawn in the warmer months (November to April), on lead and under an adult's control at all times. The dog setup
Dogs are welcome on the outdoor lawn in the warmer months (November to April), on lead and under an adult's control at all times. They are not permitted inside any building, on the dining deck or on furniture. Keep dogs clear of the farm animals, including the Highland cows, alpacas and chickens, and never leave a dog tied up unattended. Bring your own water bowl, as a dedicated dog water station is not advertised.
Max: The lawn is shared with free-roaming farm animals and the resident dog, so keep an eye on recall before you let the lead go slack.
Worth knowing
The Dairy window serves coffee, milkshakes, house-made baked goods and local ice cream, and you can grab animal feed to visit the sheep, pigs and chickens. The morning animal feeding around 9am is part of the draw. The window trades 9am to 11:30am on Mondays and Thursday to Sunday, closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and the property typically closes over winter from May to September, so confirm it is open before making the drive.
Getting there and parking
The property is about an eight-minute drive from Dunsborough, and the final stretch runs along an unsealed dirt road. Free on-site parking is available close to the entrance.
Close by with the dogs
For a longer sit-down meal on a dog-free lead, the Meelup Farmhouse restaurant is the same property. Back in town, Breakky and Brew and Evviva Cafe are the Dunsborough coffee picks on the dog-friendly list. The Geographe Bay foreshore around Dunsborough has designated dog exercise areas on the beach, though dogs are excluded from Meelup Regional Park itself, so plan the post-treat walk accordingly.
