Corner Boys

Corner Boys is a hip-hop inspired street food kitchen at Shop 1, 45 Main Road in Moonah, in Hobart's northern suburbs. The brand began as a converted service station venue on Collins Street in the CBD, serving fried chicken, vegan comfort food and old school hip hop, and moved its operation to Moonah after the Collins Street doors closed in September 2025. It now runs Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 8pm.

The dog setup

This is the part to check before you set out: the Collins Street venue's footpath tables no longer exist, and the Moonah site is a compact shopfront kitchen where current walk-in seating, and therefore dog access, is not confirmed the way it was at the old venue. Online delivery is a confirmed part of the operation. If you are heading over with the dog, call ahead on the day, and treat any outdoor front-of-shop seating as the dog-friendly option if it is operating.

Max: ring first on this one. The format has changed since the move north, and a closed shopfront with a dog in tow is a long walk back to the car.

The vibe

The menu keeps the street food identity: chicken burgers with sweet potato fries and potato skins, a brisket dog, mac and cheese, and a full plant-based column including the vegan NY steak dog and vegan chicken, with a broad drink list. Portions run large and the kitchen caters comfortably to mixed meat-eater and vegan tables.

Getting there and parking

Main Road is the spine through Moonah, with street parking along the strip and the Moonah shops a short walk south. Delivery coverage runs across Hobart's northern suburbs if the dog would rather have dinner at home.
