The Peninsula Bar and Restaurant

The Peninsula, known locally as The Pen, sits right on the quayside at Mandurah Ocean Marina at 1 Marco Polo Drive. Dogs are welcome in the beer garden and the outdoor waterfront seating, and the FAQ page invites you to note a request for those areas when booking online. Doors open from 11am daily, running later on Friday and Saturday nights, and live music sessions fill the calendar.

The dog setup

The quayside tables are reached straight off the marina boardwalk, so you never have to take your dog through the indoor dining room. Keep them leashed and settled under the table; there is room to lie down without blocking the path. Staff are used to canine guests and will often bring a water bowl, though a collapsible one is smart on busy weekends.

The kitchen

The menu leans waterfront: barramundi, crab spaghetti, pork belly, fish and chips and generous share plates. It is a relaxed, family-friendly room rather than fine dining, and the marina view does a lot of the work. Weekends and live-music nights get busy, so weekday afternoons are the calm window for a dog that prefers quiet.

Getting there and a walk after

Parking is easy across the Ocean Marina precinct, with street parking and car parks a short walk away, and the boardwalk approach doubles as the pre-meal stroll. The boardwalks around Dolphin Quay are on-lead territory, past the boat pens, and connect through to the Mandurah Eastern Foreshore. For an off-lead run, the City of Mandurah designates a grassed exercise area on Vivaldi Drive near the marina.
