Archies Southwest is a casual southwestern-style bar and restaurant on the boardwalk at Dolphin Quay in the Mandurah Ocean Marina, and the dog-friendly logic is simple: the tables that matter sit outdoors on the pedestrian boardwalk facing the marina, where leashed dogs are welcome across Dolphin Quay. The dog setup

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor terrace, not inside. The tables sit directly on the boardwalk, so there is room for a leashed dog to settle beside you out of the foot traffic that moves along the marina promenade. Staff are generally happy to bring water out for dogs, but pack a collapsible bowl to be safe. Dolphin Quay's own policy allows dogs on leash along the boardwalks and public outdoor areas of the precinct, so arriving and leaving with the dog is as easy as the table itself.

The menu runs to tacos, share plates and cocktails, with margarita happy-hour specials the recurring draw and big portions noted regularly by reviewers. The boardwalk edge and a bit of live-music energy give it a holiday feel. It opens from 11am daily, running to 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights, and late afternoon is the sweet spot: happy hour is on, the marina light is good, and the crowd has not peaked.

Getting there and parking

Dolphin Quay sits in the Mandurah Ocean Marina, and the large Dolphin Quay car park on Dolphin Drive has plenty of free parking. The boardwalk paths are flat and step-free from the car park to the tables, and the Mandurah foreshore is a short walk on if you want to extend the stroll.

Close by with the dogs

The boardwalk around the marina is the walk, and dogs on leash are welcome throughout the precinct.
