Nouli's Cafe

Nouli's Cafe sits at Shop 1, 1599 Anzac Parade in La Perouse, opposite the parklands with a clear line across Botany Bay toward Bare Island and the historic fort bridge. The menu leans modern Australian with a Mediterranean streak: crab chilli eggs and smashed avo at breakfast, then barramundi, lamb souvlaki, burgers and falafel through lunch. It is an established dog-friendly stop on the peninsula, with the outdoor alfresco tables as the dog zone.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome at the outdoor footpath and alfresco seating only; the dining room inside stays people-only. Keep your dog on a lead and settled under the table so the walkway stays clear for other diners. There is no dog fee, and staff will bring out a water bowl if you ask. The outdoor tables face straight across the water, so a shaded spot is worth claiming on sunny mornings.

Worth knowing

Coffee is well regarded and there is a full drinks list, so it works for weekend brunch or a late-afternoon drink. The kitchen covers vegetarian, vegan and halal options alongside the seafood and souvlaki. Hours run from 7am daily, with weekdays generally winding up mid-afternoon (Fridays a little later) and weekends to 5pm; the Google listing shows a shorter Tuesday service, so check before a Tuesday trip.

Getting there and parking

La Perouse sits at the southern tip of Sydney's eastern suburbs, roughly 30 to 40 minutes from the CBD by car. Free street parking runs along Anzac Parade and near the La Perouse Museum and Bare Island, but spots get competitive on sunny weekends, so arrive early with the dog. The Bare Island loop walk starts close by and suits dogs on lead, though the patrolled beaches here are best left to swimmers.
