Terra & Sol

Terra & Sol sits at 18 Jetty Road, right by Moseley Square and the Glenelg foreshore, a pastel-hued cafe, bar and restaurant with a garden bar out the back. That outdoor garden area is the dog-friendly spot, and with the beach directly opposite it slots neatly into a foreshore day.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor garden bar, on lead at all times, not in the indoor dining room where SA health codes limit access to assistance dogs. Book ahead and ask for a garden-area table so you are not turned back at the door. Water for dogs is known to be provided outside, but carry your own bowl as backup.

Good to know. The kitchen is Mediterranean-leaning, strong on brunch, cocktails and seafood, with arancini, lamb backstrap and tempura prawns among the picks. The garden bar is the signature, popular for a long, boozy brunch.

Getting there. It is on Jetty Road by the tram terminus, so the Glenelg tram drops you at Moseley Square. Parking is the usual Glenelg squeeze: undercover paid car parks nearby and limited, time-restricted street parking on the side streets.

Nearby with the dog. The beach is directly opposite for a post-meal walk, Moseley Square is right there, and Colley Reserve a short walk south gives you a grassy stretch. Check City of Holdfast Bay signs for seasonal on-lead beach times.

Book the garden for weekend brunch, which fills fast, or come on a weekday for a calmer table. Good for a stylish long lunch with the dog by your chair.
