Terra & Sol

Terra & Sol is a beachside kitchen, bar and garden at 18 Jetty Road, Glenelg, a pastel-toned, plant-heavy room with a garden bar out the back, steps from Moseley Square and the Glenelg foreshore. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor garden area on a lead, while the indoor dining room stays dog-free under SA health rules apart from assistance animals.

The dog setup

The garden bar is where you and the dog want to be, shaded, casual and built for long sittings. Book ahead and ask for a garden table so you are not turned around at the door on a busy weekend. Water is generally provided outside, but carry your own bowl as a backup since the garden fills fast in summer.

The vibe

The kitchen runs from breakfast through to late, with a brunch-first reputation and a Mediterranean-leaning menu: arancini, burrata, barramundi, schnitzels and share plates. Dietary requirements are taken seriously, including a dedicated gluten-free fryer, and the drinks list leans on South Australian wine and spirits with a proper cocktail program and a daily 5pm to 6pm happy hour.

Getting there and parking

It sits on Jetty Road by the Glenelg tram terminus, so the tram from the city drops you at Moseley Square a two minute walk away. Drivers get the usual Glenelg squeeze: paid undercover car parks nearby and time-restricted street parking on the side streets. It opens from 8am Thursday to Monday and closes Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Pair it with

The beach is directly opposite for a post-meal walk, and the Glenelg North Dog-Friendly Beach is a short drive up the coast if you want a stretch where the dog can properly run. Coffee options along Jetty Road include Feed Jetty Road.
