Howard Avenue is central Dee Why, with free off-street and street parking around the block and an easy walk from the beachside end of the suburb. Buses along Pittwater Road drop you a couple of minutes away if you are leaving the car at home.

Dee Why Beach and the promenade are a short walk for an on-leash wander before or after, and the Dee Why Lagoon coastal walk is close by; keep to the paths, as the sand is not a dog area.
