Hideout is a specialty coffee house on Fisher Road in Dee Why, a short hop back from the beach on the Northern Beaches. It opens from 6am on weekdays and dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, which makes it a natural first stop on a morning walk before the beach crowds build.

Hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 2:30pm, Saturday 6:30am to 11:30am, and the doors are closed on Sundays, so a weekend visit means Saturday morning only.

The address is 30 Fisher Road, Dee Why, a few minutes' walk uphill from The Strand and the beachfront. Street parking runs along Fisher Road and the surrounding residential streets; it turns over steadily outside peak but fills early on weekend mornings, which is another argument for the 6am weekday opening.

Dee Why Beach itself is not a dog beach, but Flora and Ritchie Roberts Reserve at Curl Curl is a short drive south, with off-leash grass and a lagoon side where dogs can paddle.
